Refining the Concept
In response to presentation feedback from Kate (Activate’s representative who initiated the collaboration), we developed the educational aspect and safety of the Water Bloom fight.
Testing
We conducted a test using wild flower seeds and found that the seeds were not felt with direct impact and the majority did not stick to clothes. Despite finding a low risk of injury relating to being hit with seed filled water balloons, participants would be provided with goggles for eye protection.
Response to Feedback
We added a quadrat based biodiversity sampling session before and after the main planting event to increase the longevity of the nature experience and add additional educational purpose that schools would be in support of.
