I’m a conceptual designer, with a fast pace of working and passion for problem solving. I care about getting the project right, taking time to understand the gap that needs to be filled and telling authentic narratives through fresh visuals.
I am currently studying graphic design at Arts University Bournemouth. Through studying on this course, I believe I have a responsibility to design ethically and responsibly. My favourite project to work on was a speculative rebranding for a climbing centre. It focused on bringing to the forefront their journey as a business with highly sustainable values and practises. I used Photoshop and Illustrator to develop a suitably playful language from analogue textures and ink drawings. Then, using InDesign, I developed mockups to demonstrate the branding across their media outlets. This project led to my design being used in their merchandise.
I’m president of the university climbing club and when not designing, I recharge in the outdoors. I rock climb, hike, camp and paddle board. You name it, I’ll try it.
I enjoy learning and I’m keen to get experience in the industry with an internship in a branding studio this summer. Please get in touch if you have an opportunity, I would love to share more of my work.
Speak to you soon,
Joy
